About NellyList

The facts, stated plainly: what NellyList is, what it costs, who it's for, and what it deliberately isn't.

What NellyList is

NellyList is the life-list app: an iPhone app for lists you actually finish — especially the long, satisfying ones you work through with someone else, like visiting all 63 US national parks or watching every Best Picture winner. It also handles everyday lists, to-dos, and ranked lists, and it works in the browser at app.nellylist.com when you're signed in.

Three things define it. Live Lists: share a list and everyone on it sees the same items, ticks in real time, and can track their own progress side-by-side. Create with Nelly: describe a list in plain words and Nelly builds it. The List Library: hundreds of free ready-made lists at nellylist.com/lists that you can tick in the browser and import with one tap.

Inside a list, items can be organized into named Groups (sections within that list). Lists themselves are organized with Labels, pins, and an archive.

What NellyList costs

The free plan costs $0 and includes unlimited lists, items, and to-dos; Live Lists; sharing by link; task reminders; cloud sync when signed in; and about 25 Create with Nelly generations a month. The free plan shows ads.

NellyList Pro costs $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year. Pro removes ads, raises Create with Nelly to about 200 generations a month, and adds recurring lists that auto-reset, list-level reminders, completion history, and 8 premium themes. Pro is a single subscription purchased through the App Store.

Who it's for

People who keep a long-running list with someone — a partner, a family, a friend — and want to see it get finished: the parks tally, the reading year, the film canon, the family bucket list. If your current system is a Notes file one of you owns and the other can't see, NellyList is the replacement.

What NellyList deliberately isn't

It is not a work productivity or project-management tool: no boards, sprints, assignees, or due-date dashboards for teams. It is built for lists in your life, not tickets in your job. And it's made for iPhone — there is no Android app.

The practical details

NellyList is an independent app made by Bettor Design (Arron Joseph). It launched on the App Store in July 2026. Support is support@nellylist.com, help guides live at nellylist.com/help, and release notes at nellylist.com/updates. Your lists work offline and sync when you're back online; an account is only needed for sync and sharing.
