How do I add a checklist inside an item?

Open the item and switch to Checklist, next to Notes, then type the first row. A checklist is tickable rows that belong to that one item, apart from the list itself. Sub-steps for a to-do, the things to pack in one bag, the ingredients of a dish.

• Tap the circle to tick a row; the item's row on the list shows "2 of 5".
• Tap the text to change it. A × appears while you edit; tap it to remove the row (clearing the text does the same).
• ⋯ → Clear checklist removes them all, with Undo in the banner.
• Call them what they are. Edit the list and set "Checklist wording": a list of dishes says Ingredients, a trip says Packing. The tab on every item in that list follows.

Recipes fill it in

Ask Nelly for dishes and each one arrives with its ingredients as a checklist, labeled Ingredients, and the method in the notes, so you can tick ingredients off as you shop and cook.

On a Live List

Everyone sees the same checklist and the same ticks. On a list whose editing is locked, only the owner can tick or change rows. A repeating list starts each cycle with every row unticked.
