Sharing & doing lists together
Leave a Live List
Done with a list someone shared with you? You leave it — the list itself belongs to its owner, so leaving never affects anyone else.
How to leave
Swipe left on the list and tap the leave button.
You'll get two choices:
- Leave and keep my copy — you get your own private copy of the list as it stands, renamed with "(my copy)" so you can tell it from the original. It's yours now: nothing about it syncs with the group anymore.
- Leave and keep nothing — the list simply disappears from your account.
Either way, the owner and other members carry on exactly as before. Your past ticks stay in the list's history.
Why can't I delete it?
Only the owner can delete a Live List — a member deleting it would take it away from everyone. If you just want it out of your lists, leaving is the way.
And if it goes the other direction — the owner deletes or ends a list you were part of, or removes you — you don't lose your work: NellyList automatically keeps a private copy for you, with your own ticks carried over, and lets you know.
