Pin, label and archive lists
Swipe a list to the right on My Lists to pin it, give it a label on its Edit list details page, and swipe it to the left to archive it. Archived lists wait under Archived until you restore them.
My Lists has three ways to keep things tidy. Pin the lists you use most so they stay at the top, give lists a label like Shopping or Travel to file them together, and archive lists you're finished with so they step out of the way without being deleted.
Pin a list
On My Lists, swipe a list to the right and tap Pin list. Pinned lists sit at the top of My Lists and carry a small pin on their icon. Swipe right again and tap Unpin list to undo it.
You can do the same from inside a list: swipe its big header card (the one with the progress) to the right.
Label your lists
- Open the list and tap ⋯ → Edit list details.
- Type a Label, or tap one of the labels you already use.
- Tap Save Changes.
Labels you've used before appear as chips, which saves you from ending up with both Groceries and Grocery. Nelly can also suggest labels: tap the gear button next to the title on My Lists, then Organize My Lists → Auto-label "No Label" lists, and choose which suggestions to apply.
Browse by label
- Filter: tap the title at the top of My Lists to open View lists by, then pick Pinned, Archived, a label, or No Label. Tap My Lists to see everything again.
- Group by label: in Organize My Lists, switch on Group by label to show each label as its own section.
- Label pills: switch on Label pills to browse with a row of pills instead of the title menu: Latest shows your newest lists, and each label, Pinned and Archived has its own pill.
Archive and restore
- Archive one list: swipe it to the left on My Lists and tap Archive list, or open it and tap ⋯ → Archive list.
- Archive several: open Organize My Lists → Archive lists, tick them, and tap Archive.
- Find them again: tap the title and choose Archived, or open Organize My Lists → Archived lists.
- Restore: swipe an archived list to the right and tap Restore list, or open it and tap ⋯ → Restore list.
Archiving never deletes anything, and each action shows an Undo banner.
Reorder your lists
Hold a list on My Lists and drag it where you want it. If My Lists was sorted another way, it switches to Custom order to keep your arrangement. The sort button next to the title also offers A to Z, date added, and Most completed or Least completed.
On a Live List
Pinning and archiving are personal. Archiving a Live List hides it from your My Lists only; everyone else keeps theirs, and you stay a member. To come off the list completely, see Leave a Live List.
FAQ
What's the difference between archiving and deleting?
An archived list is kept and can be restored any time. Deleting removes it; you get a short-lived Undo, and more in Get back something you deleted.
Can I put a list under two labels?
No, each list has one label. Use Sort a list into groups to split up the items inside a list.
