See how far along a list is

The card at the top of every to-do list shows how far along it is, like 4 of 10 completed, with a ring that fills as you check things off. Tap the card to open the details: what's left, what's due and what's already done.

The progress card

• On a to-do list, the card shows how many items are done out of the total, and the ring shows the percentage.
• On a Live List where everyone ticks their own, it shows Your progress, like You've done 3 of 12. See Let each person track their own progress.
• Lists without checkboxes, like item and ranked lists, show a count instead, with no ring.
• If the list has groups, each group's header keeps its own count, like 2 of 5.

When everything's done, a finishing card appears under it.

Quick look

Tap the progress card, then Quick look, for a breakdown of the list:

• Still on the list: items not yet done that have no date.
• For today: items due today.
• Coming up: items due on a later day. This row only shows when there are some.
• Needs a nudge: items whose date or time has passed. The number turns red when there are any.
• Checked off: items you've completed.

Recent activity

Recent activity is a feed of what's happened on the list, newest first: each item Added, Checked off, or Reinstated (unchecked again), with the date and time. On a Live List with two or more people, each row also says who did it.

People and History

Two more tabs appear when they have something to show:

• People appears on a Live List with at least two members, and opens first there. It shows who has done what. See Manage who's on a Live List.
• History appears on a list that repeats, once it has reset at least once. It shows how each round went, starting with Last time. See Make a list reset itself on a schedule.

If the card won't open

Tapping the card does nothing when Tap progress for details is off. Turn it back on in ⋯ → View options. See Sort a list and choose what it shows.

FAQ

Why does my progress differ from someone else's on the same Live List?

On a list where everyone ticks their own, the card counts your ticks only, so each person sees their own progress. On a list completed together, everyone sees the same count.

Does hiding completed items change the count?

No. Show completed tasks only changes what the list shows. The card and Checked off still count every completed item.

Why is there no progress ring on my list?

Only to-do lists have checkboxes to count. Item and ranked lists show how many items they hold instead.
