What's free and what Pro adds

Almost everything in NellyList is free, with no time limit. NellyList Pro is an optional subscription that gives you more of Nelly, turns on a few scheduling extras, and removes ads. Here's the honest map.

What's free

• All the list basics. Make as many lists as you like, add items, check them off, sort them into groups, add checklists inside items, pin, label and archive.
• Nelly, with an allowance. Create with Nelly, More with Nelly, Add details with Nelly and Smart Groups all work on the free plan, up to your allowance. See How your Nelly allowance works.
• Reminders on items. Tap the bell on any item that has a date and time. See Set reminders on items and lists.
• Sharing. Live Lists and Share a copy are both free. See Share a copy vs. a Live List.
• Photos on items, up to the free photo allowance.
• Sync, offline use and App Lock, plus the included App Themes.

What Pro adds

1. Higher Nelly allowances. You get more Nelly requests. The app shows your live counts, so you always know where you stand.
2. Recurring lists. A to-do list resets itself on a schedule, like a fresh weekly shop every Monday. See Make a list reset itself on a schedule.
3. Whole-list reminders. Get a nudge to open and use a list, not just a single item.
4. No ads. On iPhone, Pro removes the banner ad. See Why there are ads, and how to remove them.
5. Premium App Themes. In Account & Settings → App Theme, themes marked Pro unlock.
6. More room for photos. Pro raises the photo allowance for items.

Where Pro shows up in the app

• Account & Settings has a NellyList Pro card. It says Active when you have Pro. Otherwise it has an Upgrade to Pro button.
• In a list, the bell at the top opens Scheduling. There, Recurring list and List reminder show as locked cards until you upgrade.
• When you make a new to-do list, the Recurring List option is locked the same way.
• When you use up your free Nelly allowance or photo allowance, the app offers Pro.

Buying happens in the iPhone app through the App Store. Your Pro then works everywhere you sign in, including the web app. See Manage or restore your subscription.

FAQ

What happens if my Pro ends?

Everything you made stays. Lists that already have a recurring schedule or a list reminder keep them, and you can still change them or turn them off. Setting up new ones needs Pro again. Your Nelly allowance goes back to the free level, ads return on iPhone, and a premium theme switches back to an included one.

Is there a limit on lists or items?

You can make as many lists as you want on either plan. Nelly has its own limits on how much it writes at once, and the app shows them as you go.

Do Live List members need Pro?

No. Live Lists are free for everyone on them.

Can I buy Pro on the web?

No. The web app shows the Pro screen for information only. You buy Pro in the iPhone app, and it then works on the web too.
