Start a Live List
A Live List is one list shared by everyone in it — changes sync to every member, on every device.
Invite someone
- Open the list and choose Share, then the Live List option.
- Send the invite link however you like — Messages, WhatsApp, email.
- When they open it and join, they appear in the list's members.
Anyone with the link can join until you revoke it, so share it with the people you mean.
What members can do
A new Live List starts locked: members can see the list and write notes on items, but adding, editing and deleting are yours alone until you say otherwise. Open the manage sheet to unlock what you want to hand over — see Locked Lists for exactly what each switch does.
Completing items is always allowed. That's what the list is for.
Managing members
From the list's manage sheet you can:
- Revoke the invite link — nobody new can join; current members stay.
- Remove a member — they lose access immediately.
- End the Live List — it becomes a private list again, for you only.
Only you — the owner — can delete the list itself. Members who are done with it leave instead, and can keep their own copy on the way out. And nobody gets burned by your choices either: if you end, delete, or remove someone, their app automatically keeps them a private copy of the list with their own ticks intact.
