Account, sync & data
Works offline, syncs everywhere
NellyList is local-first: every tap lands on your device instantly, and the cloud catches up. You never wait on a spinner to tick something off, and a dead spot in the supermarket changes nothing.
What that means in practice
- Offline just works. Add, edit, complete, delete — all of it works with no connection. Your changes queue up and sync the moment you're back online.
- Signed in = everywhere. With an account, your lists live on every device you sign into, and changes flow between them in seconds. Live Lists additionally sync to their members in real time.
- First sign-in brings your lists with you. Anything you made before creating an account is moved into it automatically — nothing to export or redo.
When two devices disagree
If the same thing is edited in two places while one was offline, the most recent change wins when they reconnect. For lists, that's almost always exactly what you meant; for the rare genuine conflict, the newer edit is the one that survives.
Deletes are deliberate
Deleting always offers Undo, and nothing is sent to the cloud until that window passes — so an undone delete never even ripples to your other devices, let alone to Live List members. Deleted lists are kept recoverable behind the scenes for 30 days before being purged for good.
