Photos on an item
Any item can carry photos — the trailhead sign, the finished dish, the ticket stub. Open the item and look for Photos.
Add photos
Tap Add photos and pick from your library or take one. Photos need a connection to upload. Free accounts have a photo allowance across all their lists — the app tells you when you reach it — and Pro removes the cap.
Look through them
One big picture with a strip of thumbnails under it. Swipe the picture, or tap a thumbnail, to move between photos. Tap the picture to open it full screen, where you can pinch to zoom.
Heads getting cut off? Hold the big picture for a moment, then drag it to choose which part shows. That framing follows the photo everywhere.
See every photo in a list
Open the list, tap ⋯ → Image gallery, and every photo on every item is there in one grid, each captioned with its item. Tap one to open it full screen. A list with no photos yet opens on an empty gallery that says how to add some.
All your photos, every list: on My Lists, tap ☰ → Image gallery. Each tile names its item and its list. Photos on a list you can't edit are shown but stay put.
Both galleries show the photos you added. Artwork an item picked up from a link — an album cover, a book jacket, a product shot — stays on the item and isn't counted here.
Find one fast: tap the magnifier and type to match an item or list name, tap All lists to pick one list (each shows how many photos it holds), and use the sort button for newest, oldest, by item name or by list.
Remove photos
There is no × on the photos themselves. Instead:
- Open the item's ⋯ menu and choose Delete photos…
- Tap each photo to remove, in the big picture or the strip. A check marks what you've chosen.
- Tap Delete at the bottom and confirm.
Both galleries work the same way: ⋯ → Delete photos… there lets you clear photos from several items, or several lists, at once.
Changed your mind? Undo is right there for a few seconds afterwards. On a Live List, a photo someone else added is removed from the item for everyone, as any edit is.
